Multi-platform, Client/Server Architecture:
The Site of Care Application Suite runs on Windows 2000 and Window XP operating systems on the client-side and Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2003 Server on the server-side.
The database structures have been designed to allow for pooling of information from multiple sites, and are ideal for hospital networks that wish to compare data across hospitals. The Site of Care Application Suite is further scalable in that it can send data to Sybase, Oracle, or other back-end systems, allowing for the management of larger patient datasets (>500,000 patient records) or for data exchange with central data warehouses.
Remote Access/Automated Faxing
Using the system's remote access features, managers and physicians can dial into the Site of Care Application Suite to look up patient data, print out reports, or review their practice statistics from their office or home computers. Multiple levels of security have been built into the system. All are configurable to meet local needs.
The Perinatal Data Center, Daily Baby Center, Infant Development Center and Antepartum Testing products also provide a suite of automated faxing features that routinely send daily progress notes, discharge summaries, billing sheets, and other reports to the appropriate parties.
Exchanges Data with Other Systems
All of our products easily exchange information with other internal and external systems. For example, The Perinatal Data Center sends data to the California Department of Public Health's AVSS system, a MUMPS-based system that tracks all births in the state. Interfaces for internal hospital systems, such as SoftMed's Chartstat billing program are also available. Custom interfaces are easily designed and can also be provided.
All products feature a set of comprehensive import and export editors that can send/receive data in HL7, DBF, SYLK, ASCII, fixed length string, and a variety of other formats. Import/export scripts can be saved and reused.

This is reflected throughout the products, from their focus on automating required daily reports, to tracking the clinical data necessary to automate discharge summaries, statistics, and provide clinical pathway mechanisms.
