Application Coordinator
Site of Care Systems is a small company located in the Laurel Heights district of San Francisco; we are a privately held company which is considered a leader in its field. The company was founded 15 years ago and now counts as clients several prestigious medical institutions across the USA. Our flagship product is DailyBaby, a charting, documentation and reporting software used in Newborn Intensive Care Units.
We are looking to hire an Application Coordinator. Good IT skills acquired in a Healthcare environment are essential to succeed in this position.
The role of the Application Coordinator is to assist the Site of Care Systems employees and clients in the implementation of "DailyBaby", our Newborn Intensive Care Unit Charting and Reporting software; the Application Coordinator also provides continued support of our product line. (Perinatal Data Center, Infant Development Center) Excellent customer skills and the ability to support by phone a large community of users (physicians, nurses, database admins, network engineers, and helpdesk representatives) are essential.
The Application Coordinator implements and supports assigned applications from both the application-user and technical perspectives. The Application Coordinator is considered to be the expert in the Site of Care application as it functions for clinical users and will provide technical and clinical support for the product line in addition to providing triage and troubleshooting assistance to the product customers and local help desk.
The Application Coordinator will assist in the product build of application functions. The Application Coordinator will have to work and train with other Site of Care Systems employees to help facilitate future support and build of upcoming releases.
The Application Coordinator works closely with the Clinical or IT departments of Site of Care Systems clients and will assist with some of the technical aspects of implementation, rollout and support. The Application Coordinator will monitor our clients' systems for data quality, efficiency, operation and data integrity across the various application functional components. He/She will also participate in system analysis, design, development, documentation and configuration as well as testing and training of the product.
The Application Coordinator will need an understanding of clinical operations in a Nursery Intensive Care environment as well as an understanding of the technical environment of the product. We are looking for someone who has a mix of IT and clinical education or experience.
The ability to work in a fast-paced but casual environment is key; excellent customer service, respect of privacy regulations and security rules as related to patient data are essential. (Hipaa)
Qualifications:
A degree in Health Care Administration, Information Management, Computer science, Applications, a related Health Care Field is required.

A certification in business, a degree in nursing, technology or therapy is required.

The equivalent combination of education, training, application support, software installation projects, and hospital/clinic operation experience may be substituted.
Experience & Knowledge:
- A minimum of two years experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Software/Hardware implementation experience in a clinical application preferred.
- Experience supporting complex applications that require coordination of resources through phone, webex and email communication.
- Knowledge of health care delivery, clinical practice and healthcare operational support is preferred...
- Knowledge of current IT technologies and how they are best utilized (Windows, Remote and secure access, printing technologies, network services, database queries and reporting)
Special Skills:
- Must be able to work closely with application users and technical professionals.
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to articulate technical and user needs so all can easily understand them.
- Ability to work as part of a team is a must.
- Must have good organizational skills and be able to manage and/or be involved in multiple projects at the same time.
- Must have the ability to prioritize multiple projects and objectives in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining a high level of energy and creativity.
- Must be committed to providing exceptional quality customer service and be responsive to user needs in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new skills.
- During "crisis" time, weekend or after-hours work may be required. Also, rotating coverage of the help desk may be required.
